NASPC 2008 PIPE ANNOUNCEMENT
by John Tolle
Once again, I am extremely excited to announce our annual NASPC pipe. Our 2008 edition will be made for us by John Eells, whom I consider one of the world's best pipe makers. I hope that just about all our members are familiar with John and his pipes, but they are something very special and are always hard to find, with the few that he has at shows selling out quickly. Our edition will be a straight bulldog with a classic 8-degree cant in the bowl. The approximate dimension are about 6 ½" in length and just under 2" tall, although, since each pipe will be handmade, these will vary slightly. The stems will be diamond-shaped, black, high-quality vulcanite (my favorite), and the prototype shown in the photo is magnificent. The finish is a black sandblast with red background/highlight, and awesome is the correct word. Each pipe will have all of John's regular nomenclature in addition to our NASPC logo/stamp in a special silver inset and dated 2008.

You must be a member to order one or more of these pipes. As always, the total number of pipes made will be the total ordered and prepaid before our order cutoff date of January 11, 2008. The pipes will then be mailed to members who order them when they are done--sometime in April or May, 2008. Finally, the price to members (you must be a member to order) is $275, which includes shipping. To order, checks should be made out to NASPC and mailed to our post office box.

To order, make out a check to NASPC and send it to PO Box 9642, Columbus, OH 43209-9642.
